GATCHAMAN CROWDS – 01
「Avant-garde」
I’m almost tempted to reuse my flavor text from Tsuritama last year, because one thing’s for sure. You ain’t gonna see anything else as refreshingly outrageous as Gatchaman Crowds this season.

(Chinura Reta Mirai)
“The Blood-Soaked Future”
This is a magical girl show not about what it’s like to risk death, but what it’s like to kill.
(Mada Me o Mire Nai ―Hangeki Zenya ①― )
“Can’t Look Into His Eyes ―Prelude to the Counterattack (1)―”
Now that’s how you start a second half.
(Tanjou! Mahou Shoujo!)
“Birth! A Magical Girl!”
Magic, plot, excellent comedy, and some of the best pacing I’ve seen in a while. Everything flows naturally as we’re eased into the action. As a storyteller, I am impressed. It was like Prisma Illya was made for the screen.
(Yakusoku)
“Promise”
When you think about it, the Fool tarot card fits Touma to a T.
(Oshigoto wa, Awatezu, Sawagazu, Nagedasazu)
“Work, Unfazed, Fuss, Tossed Aside”
That OP is borderline hypnotic.
「TALE 2」
For everyone that thought the first episode was too fast, too rushed, lacking information, confusing and choppy, or just a dump of stuff that happened in 8 volumes, well I’m glad to say that the second episode is not like that.
(Ezonoo e, Youkoso)
Welcome to Ezonoo!”
I’m guessing that’s the first time in anime we’ve heard the line, "Dammit – how can something so tasty come out of an anus?!"
