Mitsudomoe Zouryouchuu! – 07

「みそじもえ?」 (Misoji Moe?)
“Sexy Thirty?”

I doubt the handful of questions I have, like just how the timeline of this series works, will ever be answered by the time the series finishes next week. But I’m sure glad that the second to last episode has been one of the better ones. Finally giving Chiba some redemption in my eyes, I would have never expected his ass would be the most fearsome thing I’ve seen this season.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica – 07

「本当の気持ちと向き合えますか?」 (Hontou no Kimochi to Mukiaemasu ka?)
“Can you Face your True Feelings?”

Something about the thought of having my soul extracted from my body just doesn’t sit well with me. Seeing how I’m a normal human being, I would feel a little violated if someone decided to rip my soul out my body. Isn’t your soul the basis of your very existence — the single thing that makes you who you are?

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – 06

「そう、私は死を呼ぶもの」 (Sou, Watashi wa Shi wo Yobumono)
“Yes, I am the Harbinger of Death”

Did I say something about Kyoko being overpowered last week? It’s more like everyone plus Kyoko is overpowered! But in a show where things aren’t overly serious most of the time, its pretty fun to watch both the good guys and bad guys have equally over powered moments. With Kyoko busting out a combination of moves ranging from a Megalo’s to a Masou Shoujo’s, I was excited to watch just how Yuu was going to deal with her.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – 05

「ええ、京豆腐どすえ」 (Ee, Kyoutoufu Dosue)
“Yes, It’s Kyoto Tofu.”

Something about all the little quirks in this show make every episode that much more interesting. Starting off strong with a shaky cam of a little Haruna and Sera kissing and blood sucking action, I was pumped for some fantastic fan-service scenes.

Bakuman. – 18

「嫉妬と愛」 (Shitto to Ai)
“Jealousy and Love”

The one thing that sticks out about Bakuman is how it manages to always come back and give me shivers down the back of my spine. But the best part is how the show manages to instill those shivers without using blatant power-ups or crazy plot twists. Something about the story and how it’s slowly starting to all come together is just perfect.

「沈黙の教室」 (Chinmoku no Kyoushitsu)
“The Silent Classroom”

It never ceases to amaze me how interesting and different school is in Japan. Besides sixth grade being considered part of elementary school, I totally envy just how much fun those school health days, Valentine’s Day chocolate, and parent introduction days must be. Something that kids in Japan consider normal just looks so interesting to those outside the culture.
