Rinne no Lagrange – 08

「鴨川ロリータ」 (Kamogawa Roriita)
“Kamogawa Lolita”

Ika Musume as a blond-haired pushy loli in my Lagrange? I didn’t even realize it was Kanemoto Hisako voicing Asteria Lizamarie de Rochefort until I saw the credits, but it sure proved to be a highlight after the fact since she ravaged Madoka and supposedly brought the U.S. President to tears over the phone.

Senki Zesshou Symphogear – 08

「陽だまりに翳りなく」 (Hidamari ni Kagerinaku)
“There’s No Shadow Beneath the Sun”

Well, it doesn’t look like Kurisu is quite ready to jump ship onto the good guys’ side, but given that Miku didn’t hesitate to help her and Genjuurou even jumped in to lend a hand, it should only be a matter of time before two Symphogear heroines becomes three.

Black Rock Shooter – 04

「いつか夢見た世界が閉じる」 (Itsuka Yume Mita Sekai ga Tojiru)
“One Day The Dream World Will Close Off”

“Unconventional” is probably the best way I can describe Black Rock Shooter, as Ordet and Sanzigen have taken a Japanese Internet phenomenon of sorts and adapted it into an anime that’s very unlike the more typical ones that we see these days..

Guilty Crown – 18

「流離 Dear…」 (Ryuuri)
“Wandering”

“Okay… I’m way too tired to be writing about an episode like this, so you guys can have first crack at it. I’ll have a full write-up tomorrow.”

I didn’t intend to make my original note to be as sarcastic as it ended up sounding — as I was simply too tired from work to put together a coherent post for such an episode full of “interesting” developments — but it does touch upon my ever-changing impression of this series.

Aquarion EVOL – 08

「さらけだせ」 (Sarakedase)
“Expose Yourself”

Whoa whoa whoa. Someone needs to step in and tell Mix that Zessica can wear whatever the heck she wants. Let’s not get hasty now and tell her to cover up that midriff of hers. As far as I’m concerned, she’s free to tease us about what color her “underwear” is and tear off her clothes in battle to get a better feel for her surroundings (naked Gundam Newtype style).

Gundam AGE – 19

「アセムの旅立ち」 (Asemu no Tabidachi)
“Asem’s Journey”

Koshimizu Ami in Gundam is one thing, but I wasn’t expecting a Diva bridge crew with Kawasumi Ayako and Noto Mamiko in addition to Hanazawa Kana. What’s more, there are two more pilots voiced by Yusa Kouji and Sakaguchi Daisuke, the latter of whom is no stranger to Gundam having starred as Uso Ewin in Victory Gundam. What more could a Gundam fan ask for in terms of cast?
