Now that the end has finally come, I’m just going to jump straight into final impressions.

「花火（再び）」 (Hanabi (Futatabi))
“Fireworks (Again)”

I had a witty one-liner about flashbacks all ready to go until the second half of the episode took that idea and tossed it straight into the trash.

“Piano”

If the anime decided to do things like from the start, I think we’d be in a much better position. Basically, after being jerked around for weeks on end we finally got an episode that was genuinely pretty decent.

“Jonathan”

I’m still confused about how I want to feel about this show. Because every single time I’m on the verge of going “I’m okay with this” something completely incomprehensible happens.

「月」 (Tsuki)
“Moon”

With the anime slowly turning around in some aspects, I can’t help but laugh a bit as I think about just how far we’ve come since episode one.

「雪」 (Yuki)
“Snow”

After last week’s train wreck, I thought this week’s episode did a little better. While I’m still a little confused about what direction the show is trying to go in, P.A. Works did a great job at illustrating a world that’s literally falling apart at the seams.

“Bicycle”

This week’s episode felt like someone with schizophrenia got a hold of the reigns and decided to drive the damn thing off of a cliff.

「パンチ」 (Panchi)
“Punch”

This has been the first episode that genuinely got my attention and had me cheering for more.

「日乃出橋」 (Hinodebashi)
“Hinode Bridge / Sunset Bridge”

Summer is the time for love — or so they say.

「坂道」 (Sakamichi)
“Uphill”

After the last few weeks of romantic escapades and awkward love triangles being formed, this week gave us a glimpse of what happens when you try to stretch the ropes of friendship a little too far.

「ポリタンク」 (Poritanku)
“Plastic Container”

I’m a firm believer in giving any show at least three episodes before making any assumptions and I’m glad I believed in Glasslip. Compared to the first two episodes, the third was a wonderful blend of romance, slice-of-life giggles, and just the right amount of looking into the future.

「ベンチ」 (Bennchi)
“Bench”

Romantic triangles and the ability to see into the future? I can’t imagine how a combination of those two things could ever go wrong.

“Fireworks”

A new P.A. Works original that focuses on the lives of a bunch of friends as they spend their final summer together and meet some transfer student who may or may not have ESP / Special Powers? Sign me up!
