You’ve seen the fall preview, so now it’s time to tell you what we plan to cover for the coming season. This is Random Curiosity’s Fall 2013 blogging schedule.
As always, this is a tentative overview of our plans for the new season. We’ll also be doing introductory posts on many of the shows we’re not covering, so if something catches our eyes, things will be shifted around to accommodate. The schedule will be updated to reflect any changes.

Sorry for going all Garden of Words, but fall is definitely the envied big sibling of all other anime seasons. With 40+ offerings, hopefully all of you will find at least one show to immerse yourselves in, maybe while sipping tea as the leaves fall. Fantasy, sci-fi, supernatural, and sports fans can rejoice, as offerings like the watery Nagi no Asukara, post-disaster COPPELION, the surreal Kyousougiga (finally), and baseball epic Ace of Diamond fill the board as the dominating genres this season. Many series are also returning this fall, with shows like Magi, Kakumeiki Valvrave, and IS: Infinite Stratos returning to meet popular demand. Other interesting shows include the darkly themed pupa, Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio ~Ars Nova~, which will make heavy use of 3D CGI, and quite possibly the most ecchi offering this season, wrestling anime Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai!. But enough from me, let’s get this preview on the road! Welcome to Random Curiosity’s Fall 2013 season preview, built by sweat, tears, and the rustling of the fall leaves.
* This preview will be kept at the top for the next while, so be sure to scroll past it, check the slider on top, or the Recent Entries on your right for new posts.
「Episode 1」
I have the best luck in the world because not only do I get to kick off this season’s anime introductions, I get to start it off with DIABOLIK LOVERS. In a nutshell, my reactions for this episode resembled my reactions while reading 50 Shades of Grey… but with vampires.
「Ruby Rose」
As a special treat, here is an introduction to RWBY (pronounced “Ruby”), an anime anime-style web series by the folks over at Rooster Teeth Productions. If you haven’t heard of it yet, I think you may like it.
「追いかけて」 (Oi kakete)
“Pursuit”
The calm before the storm – as the secrets, stupor and melodrama are laid bare one by one! Welcome to “A Town Where You Rage”!
「Avant-garde」
I’m almost tempted to reuse my flavor text from Tsuritama last year, because one thing’s for sure. You ain’t gonna see anything else as refreshingly outrageous as Gatchaman Crowds this season.
「誕生!魔法少女!」 (Tanjou! Mahou Shoujo!)
“Birth! A Magical Girl!”
Magic, plot, excellent comedy, and some of the best pacing I’ve seen in a while. Everything flows naturally as we’re eased into the action. As a storyteller, I am impressed. It was like Prisma Illya was made for the screen.
「エゾノーへ、ようこそ」 (Ezonoo e, Youkoso)
Welcome to Ezonoo!”
I’m guessing that’s the first time in anime we’ve heard the line, "Dammit – how can something so tasty come out of an anus?!"
