This series may have been a fairytale romance in more of the literal sense than metaphorical, but there’s no doubt that the ending was a storybook one through and through.
「鴨川の海の向こう側」 (Kamogawa no Umi no Mukougawa)
“Beyond the Seas of Kawogawa”
Emotions clash as the world rests on the edge of oblivion, with only three young girls in a position to save it. Maybe.
「死闘の果て」 (Shitou no Hate)
“The End of a Deadly Battle”
“Remember that everything we know about the BETA come from the sacrifices of those that fell before us.”
「金ヶ崎の退きロ」 (Kanegasaki no Shirizoki ro)
“The Retreat of Kanegasaki”
The dream is broken. All that remains is an ambition clouded with hatred, embodied in a leader whose will is no longer her own…
I could not ask for a more thrilling setup.
「妖精さんの、ひみつのおちゃかい」 (Yōsei-san no, Himitsu no Ochakai)
“The Fairies’ Secret Tea Party (Part 2)”
The only thing that was predictable about this ending is that it wouldn’t be a predictable ending.
「Consolidation; 連結」 (Renketsu)
Kuroyukihime finally returns and there’s no better way to have an entrance than on a white stallion! Right guys? 😉
「Arcano Duello」
“The Arcane Duel”
La storia della Arcana Famiglia brings us the long-awaited duels in the form of a spectacular finale, and I must say, this conclusion really surprised me!
「最悪の審査員」 (Saiaku no Shinsain)
“The Worst Possible Interviewer”
As it so frequently does, Uchuu Kyoudai presents us with yet another series of parallels between the two ‘space brothers.’
Finally, the long-awaited fall season! Along with spring, fall tends to be one of the busier seasons, with everything from the debut of highly anticipated blockbusters to the continuation of venerable old series. And this year is no different! Hotly anticipated adaptations include the award-winning sci-fi light novel Shin Sekai Yori, the 5pb. sci-fi visual novel ROBOTICS;NOTES, and the Key romantic drama Little Busters! The sequel front has some heavy-hitters as well, among them the return of spring’s amoral action-adventure Jormungand, a brand new season of the comedy and harem classic Hayate no Gotoku, and the third season of the mangaka drama Bakuman. There are even a few original series to round things out, most notably Urobochi Gen’s PSYCHO-PASS. Fall is busy indeed–and like last spring, you’re fortunate enough to have not one, not two, but FIVE writers to help guide you through the shows you’ll want to be watching this season. Lucky for you, eh? So without further ado (that’s a lie; there’ll be a lot more ado before we’re done), let’s get on with it and talk about the 32 series we’ve previewed for you this season. Get excited!
