Ikoku Meiro no Croisée The Animation – 07
「天窓 Lucarne」 (Tenmado)
“Skylight”
For an episode where Yune catches a cold, we sure had a lot of people worrying about her.

「真実のヨシアシ」 (Shinjitsu no Yoshi Ashi)
“The True Yoshi and Ashi”
I’ve never seen an anime swap its opening and ending themes with new sequences to go for each, but somebody at Sunrise seems to have had a change of heart seven episodes later. Surprisingly, Nanri Yuuka’s “Miracle” seems to be better suited as an opening theme.
「Episode 4」
Taking a page out of the anime, the drama also sees the debut of Houshikaguji Renge (Tsuchiya Tao) in the fourth episode.
「戦争を始めましょう」 (Sensou wo Hajimemashou)
“Let’s Start a War”
I know Subaru’s secret is hidden under the guise of a cross-dressing cafe, but who the heck is she fooling wearing a cheongsam that shows that much cleavage and with a side slit that high? There isn’t any room to hide anything… not that I’m complaining of course.
「先に進むという選択」 (Saki ni Susumu to Iu Sentaku)
“The Decision to Continue Forward”
It’s kind of hard to believe that I was going to let this series go unwatched let alone uncovered a month and a half ago. Good thing I took the plunge after A-1 Pictures’ visuals caught my eye, because IM@S is already busting out fully hand-drawn idol performances only six episodes in. Compare that to the second season of K-ON, where Kyoto Animation held out until the twentieth episode.
「音楽会 Récital」 (Ongakkai)
“Recital”
Wow, if this bonus episode was any indication of what the producers were saving for the BD/DVD releases, I sure hope they have another one in store. This particular episode is slated to be released on November 25th with the third volume, but was streamed online for a limited time, saving me from a long four and half month wait.
「空守村」 (Karakami Mura)
“Karakami Village”
Compared to the action-packed previous episode, the trip to Karakami Village was a lot more easygoing. Be that as it may, the formal introduction of Kyouhei and Utao’s hometown and the explanations about the Kakashi made this episode just as good.
「あーと☆あーたー☆あーちすと」 (Aato☆Aataa☆Aachisuto)
“Art☆Arter☆Artist”
Wow, they won’t even let Akari have her short opening message anymore. This is really verging on trolling levels thanks to Kyouko. It’s one thing to joke about how Akari has no presence; it’s downright cruel to take it away from her.
「鳥籠 Crinoline」 (Torikago)
“Birdcage”
For all those shipping Claude and Yune already, sorry to burst your bubble, but the story is taking a different direction in terms of pairings. I had a hunch about it based on the character descriptions I read for the Summer 2011 Preview, but it wasn’t quite to the degree that they hinted at here.
「ワンモアナイト」 (Wan Moa Naito)
“One More Night”
Given Alma’s past, it’s easy to see why he’s not used to being close to other people, but I can’t see how anyone in their right mind can impose a one-meter comfort zone on Ruri — especially when she comes with a lunch packed for two.
