GOSICK – 04

「金色(こんじき)の糸はつかのまを切り裂く」 (Konjiki no Ito wa Tsuka no Ma o Kirisaku)
“The Golden Thread Destroys the Moment”

How obviously suspicious does Avril Bradley act? About a 13/10 on the “I CAN SEE THE ENDING” scale. But then again, that’s what they want me to think isn’t it?

Yumekui Merry – 04

「夢喰いメリー」 (Yumekui Merī)
“Dreameater Merry”

“Why do you care? Why do you want to help me? Why am I so important to you?” Why oh why indeed. I know, how about, “because if I don’t, there would be no story!” This works also, “because you’re a girl!” Or “because my powers happen to help your goal, so why can’t you just understand and stop being so effin’ tsundere?” Yeah. That works.

Hourou Musuko – 03

「ロミオとジュリエット ~Juliet and romeo~」 (Romio to Jurietto ~Juliet and romeo~)
“Romeo and Juliet ~Juliet and romeo~”

Centralizing around the creation of a play, Musuko in turn tackles the issue of puberty. While not normally regarded as a serious problem, when it comes to the characters of Musuko, it comes as a curse. A ticking time bomb, that when set off, irreversibly destroys any androgynous nature one might have.

Impressions dropped. More info inside.

GOSICK – 03

「野兎(のうさぎ)達は朝陽の下で約束をかわす」 (Nousagi-tachi wa Asahi no Shita de Yakusoku o Kawasu)
“The Hares Break a Promise Under the Morning Sun”

The first half was an absolute thrill, with BONES action, high flying emotions, and some actual suspense. Although, I am curious if a tennis ball in an armpit can really halt your heartbeat in your arm even momentarily, so I will try it later for science.

Yumekui Merry – 03

「夢の向こうから」 (Yume no Mukō Kara)
“From Beyond the Dream”

With a little thought, I suppose I could have seen that Yumeji’s near useless power of seeing dream colors through the hole of an “a-okay” sign would be the red string to tie with Merry. It’s also a little funny how he believes in fortunes, and goes around showing kids his own fortune telling act. He’s also a bit of an artist. What can I say, the guy’s pretty awesome.

Kimi ni Todoke 2nd Season – 02

「2年生」 (2-Nensei)
“Second Years”

Having everyone join together in the same class again for the new year seemed a little coincidental, but it figures it was really Ayane pulling the strings. Every romance anime needs its bros to carry the mains, and with Kimi ni Todoke, there’s two to keep everything going. One is Sanada Ryuu, who just knows everything, but doesn’t act unless extremely necessary. He’s the god tier bro. The other is Yano Ayane, a more naive bro, but tries her best nonetheless.
