Monogatari Second Season – 03

「つばさタイガ – 其ノ参」 (Tsubasa Taiga – So no Ni)
“Tsubasa Tiger – Part Three”

After last week’s rather boring episode that was sprinkled with a little bit of fan service for all the Hanekawa x Senjougahara fans, this third episode does justice to the phrase “give each new series at least three episodes”.

Monogatari Second Season – 02

「つばさタイガ – 其ノ貳」 (Tsubasa Taiga – So no Ni)
“Tsubasa Tiger – Part Two”

Even though there was a distinct lack of Araragi in this second episode, I have to hand it to SHAFT for never letting my focus stray. Because even before I started to watch, I was afraid I’d be bombarded with a bunch of dialogue with nothing fancy to back it up.

Bakemonogatari – Complete Music Works Songs & Soundtracks Disc 1

This time around, I’ll be focusing on a soundtrack by Kousaki Satoru, a member of MONACA – a specialised music outsourcing studio notable for working on things such as the recently concluded Haiyore! Nyaruko-san and the brilliant soundtrack to Nier. As for Kousaki himself, his notable works include Haruhi (all three series), Kannagi and of course, the entire Monogatari series to date.

Warning: Potential spoilers. Probably.

Nisemonogatari – 10

「つきひフェニックス 其ノ參」 (Tsukihi Fenikkusu Sono San)
“Tsukihi Phoenix Part Three”

In this penultimate episode, we learn that just about everything in Araragi’s life has turned out to be a fake – even his own sister turns out to be an imposter. NisiOisiN wasn’t kidding around when he named this installment in the Monogatari series – there are falsehoods and fakes in every nook and cranny of the story. At least the donuts are still real!
