Kaichou wa Maid-sama! – 21

「碓氷のライバル?深谷陽向」 (Usui no Raibaru? Shintani Hinata)
“Usui’s Rival? Shintani Hinata”

Misaki going Super Saiyajin, Usui feeling the pressure from a rival, Kanou noticing how their relationship’s at a standstill, and the childhood friend Shintani Hinata (Abe Atsushi) being another instance of dramatic weight loss. This episode had development in almost all areas and provided the tension that may finally take Misaki and Usui’s relationship to the next level.

Amagami SS – 08

「棚町薫編 最終章 シンテン」 (Tanamachi Kaoru-hen Saishuushou – Shinten)
“Tanamachi Kaoru Final Chapter – Progress”

Well the end of this arc sure was different. Not only did it leave out a time-skip to show how Junichi and Kaoru are like in the future, it also put a very sweet touch on their development that I was thinking we might see — Kaoru confessing to Junichi.

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi – 08

「おおかみさんとねずみの嫁探しとやっぱり豚はこういう扱い」 (Ookami-san to Nezumi no Yomesagashi to Yappari Buta wa Kouiu Atsukai)
“The Wolf, The Search for the Mouse’s Bride, and How Pigs Should Be Treated”

Ask and you shall receive, as Ookami-san goes on a Toradora and To Aru Kagaku no Railgun cameo blitz in a matter of seconds. They weren’t shy about introducing them all with their proper names either, much like they had Otsuu’s Kawasumi Ayako say Mahoro’s infamous “I think perverted thoughts are bad” line.

RAINBOW: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin – 20

「Vocation」

After twenty weeks of K-ON and RAINBOW on Tuesdays, the two series are having an identity crisis all of a sudden. K-ON brought the emotion-filled tears with its take on the school festival, while RAINBOW brought the laughs with Kyabetsu’s search for a job that suits him. What the heck!?

K-ON!! – 20

「またまた学園祭!」 (Matamata Gakuensai!)
“The School Festival Once Again!”

Alright, going above and beyond this time around. I have two insert videos along with lyrics to mark the long-awaited Houkago Tea Time performance at the school festival. We knew “U & I” was coming, but the other new song turned out to be “Gohan wa Okazu” (Rice is a Side Dish). No joke!
