“Letter of Lies”
This was an episode about a struggling writer sending a letter full of lies to his mother so that she doesn’t worry about him, but all I could focus on was the fact that Niche was wearing Sylvette’s underwear. Lag may fancy the thought of that, but all Niche can do is openly complain about how it rides up her crotch and butt. How is that not win?
If you’ve been following my Letter Bee (Tegami Bachi) posts, there’s probably little need for me to go into how much I’ve been looking forward to the full version of the ending theme. Likewise with an introduction for HIMEKA, the French Canadian girl living out the anisong/otaku dream in Japan. As mentioned in my post a couple of weeks ago, the single for Hatenaki Michi (“Endless Road”) was released on November 25th. Back then, I also brought up how devoted fans were banding together to prevent her music from becoming “available” online. Because of that, I was debating whether or not I should even post the PV.

“Friends”
For an episode devoted primarily to Kanako and Junpei, the title “Friends” is almost like a spoiler in disguise. I must’ve been unconsciously expecting something to happen though, as this was a mere afterthought.

“Choice ~Joyous Song~”
Out of all the shows I’m covering this season, Kampfer is the one that usually has me frantically trying to get a post out about. The plot isn’t overly profound — something that’s blatantly obvious after learning of the Moderators’ motives — but I almost want to call it “harem anime done right” because of characters like Shizuku. She’s kissing Natsuru at least once per episode and it’s gotten to the point where Mikoto and Akane can’t sit idly any longer.

“Happening in Summer”
I thought I was prepared for Tomoe taking the wheel of a vehicle and putting other people’s lives in her hands. Boy was I wrong though, after seeing the state of what was formerly known as a car spark up and explode. What a way to start their summer vacation — with a bang.

「魔女覚醒 bukott angyal」 (Majo Kakusei)
“The Witch Awakens”
Slipping razor blades into Misuzu’s tea must be Yuka’s way of saying, “Die you stupid slut.” For all we know, it was probably poisoned too just for good measure. Does someone have to die here before we sound the yandere alarm? Yuka’s stripping and throwing herself at Kakeru as well, with Shiori telling him to just sleep with her and get it over with. Anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

Animal cruetly is not cool. After seeing how Nymph’s master ordered her to kill her own pet bird for sheer entertainment, I actually found it more heartless than ordering Ikaros to kill humans indiscriminately. Nymph can’t defy her master’s orders either, so she had to comply and thank him for making her do so. Damn sick sadists. Tomoki needs to kick their asses with his “Perky Nipples” song.

Ugh, I thought I was covering Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu here, not WHITE ALBUM. Deceptive managers doing what they think is best for an upcoming idol while her boyfriend’s sent away only to end up as another idol’s manager? Thank god Yuuto’s no Touya at least and doesn’t sleep with every girl who lets him. In other news, we have shameless seiyuu plugs galore with all of N’s members mentioned.

「昭和ブルース」 (Shouwa Buruuzu)
“Showa Blues”
In order to understand Arashi better, Hajime travels back in time to the Showa Era with the help of Yayoi. In 1940, Arashi is the same age as Hajime is now and got into her fair share of scuffles with punk kids. Not exactly what you would expect from a young girl from a wealthy family, but Hajime tags along and becomes a key memory of Arashi’s past — her first love.
