Amongst all the words I could have picked to describe this show, interesting would be an understatement to just how odd this first episode was. There were some high points here and there, but in the end, I think I got lost amongst certain scenes.

I’m not entirely sure what I just watched. I was pretty sure that I was going headfirst into a slice of life that should look beautiful. But after I really got into things, I can say that I’m still not sure what I just watched. In the words of a Divine person I know, I’ve just been P.A. Worked. If my lame joke didn’t give it away, this is another one of P.A. Work’s works (what an odd sentence).

That was amazing, simply freaking amazing. After what felt like the longest episode throughout its entire season run, Bakuman goes out with an amazing bang. For all of you manga readers out there, I can’t believe how long it took for our duo to finally reach serialization!

Finally! A show done by KyoAni! Plus, I was delighted to watch my expectations from the OVA completely get obliterated (in a good way) as I sat on the edge of my seat wanting more.

The infamous beach/pool episode — who would have thought that something so simple could be done so skillfully? With the actual story finishing last episode, all I can say is that this final episode left on a really happy note.

The buildup to the next week’s finale couldn’t have been done better. In what I consider was an answer to my prayers, I was ecstatic that Koogy’s attempt to cheat out real mangaka’s failed. Not only did he get a horrible ranking, but I got a kick from watching him smash his guitar in disappointment.

As much as I don’t want to admit it, Zombie seems to be jumping all over the place in terms of plot. From reading the comments and judging by how crazy the story seems, I can sense an anime original ending ready to fall upon us. While I’m not sure if that is a bad thing, I’m pretty sure it isn’t a great thing.

After a whole week of not watching Bakuman, I almost forgot what Takagi was talking about in the beginning. But as the memories started flooding back, I was excited to remember about how I wanted to watch how everyone’s manuscript would turn out.

“I can’t depend on anyone anymore”
Well, I can honestly say that I didn’t see any of that coming. I know that we just learned about Homura’s ability to stop time, but I never thought that she would have the ability to travel back through time. I suppose the notion that she’s someone from the future isn’t entirely incorrect, but it’s not like she has a future to return or anything.
