A-Channel – 07

「夏祭り – August’s End」 (Natsu Matsuri)
“Summer Festival – August’s End”

Whether it be because of how things were done this episode or because of what’s going on in my own life right now, A-channel really got me emotional this week. It felt like a walk down memory lane, back during the times when life was still simple and everyone was worried about not growing up fast enough.

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai II – 06

「10%の雨予報」 (10% no Ameyohou)
“10% Chance of Rain”

I’m probably starting to sound like a broken record, but I’m glad that the show took the time to show how much Keima actually cares about each of the girls he saved. He may go on and on about how real girls are no match for 2d ones, but his actions are far louder then his words. Keima deserves to shine like this!

Hanasaku Iroha – 07

「喜翠戦線異常なし」 (Kissui Sensen Ijyou Nashi)
“All Quiet on the Kissui Front”

The mysterious Wajima Tomoe, the head waitress of Kissuisou. A character who doesn’t really grab your attention at first, but stands out with her strange faces and over the top actions. Who would have thought that in a single episode they’d be able to really introduce Tomoe while pushing the story a little bit further and teaching a life lesson or two?

Nichijou – 07

「日常7」 (Nichijou 7)
“My Ordinary Life 7”

Was it me or was most of that first skit just so out there that it flew over your head? The flying airship was cool and I have a friend named Albert who hates it when his name is said in Japanese (Aruberuto / アルベルト), which had me giggling inside every time the King’s name was called out. But even though the first skit felt like it came out from left field and didn’t really get me laughing at first, I was dying towards the end.

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai II – 05

「たどりついたらいつも雨ふり」 (Tadoritsuitara Itsumo Amefuri)
“It Always Rains at the End of a Hard Journey”

I’ve stated this many times before, but it kills me to watch Keima invest so much time and effort into saving these girls with loose souls inside of them only for their memories to be erased and have no clue about how hard Keima worked to save them. Also, if you haven’t picked up this show because you were afraid of another season of captures after captures, shame on you.

Hanasaku Iroha – 06

「Nothing Venture Nothing Win」

Want to know why I love this show much? Week by week, P.A. Works manages to do something amazing each and every episode. The value of a hard earned dollar is something that isn’t preached as often as it should, and I am overjoyed that Ohana demonstrated one of the best character traits to have — modesty.
