Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica – 11, 12 (END)

「最後に残った道しるべ」 (Saigo ni Nokotta Michishirube)
“The Only Way Left”

In a world where the final outcome will always be one where someone loses, no one will ever feel that they have completely won. It’s that feeling that pushes certain individuals to strive and move toward finding that one possible solution to conquer a never ending vicious circle.

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai II – 02

「一挙落着」 (Ikkyo Rakuchaku)
“Problem Solved by the Fist”

I’d rather not say it, but I wasn’t quite sure how to feel after such a quick capture. While I wasn’t a hundred percent sure about what was going to happen, I had a pretty good idea in my mind. As the episode did a pretty good job foreshadowing it last week, the idea of trying to expel a certain part of yourself in an effort to become a stronger you sounds as ridiculous as it was to type it out.

Hanasaku Iroha – 03

「ホビロン」 (Hobiron)
“Balut”

More so then any other show airing this season that I’ve watched, Hanasaku Iroha has successfully managed to become my number one pick. If not for the amazing cast of characters, or the stupidly funny situations, it has to be the show’s ability to consistently toy with my emotions — bringing them up and down at its whim.

Nichijou – 03

「日常3」 (Nichijou 3)
“My Ordinary Life 3”

I’m not sure why, but I reserve a small spot in my top seiyuu list for Shiraishi Minoru. Ever since his role in Lucky Star where he ended up being at the receiving end of just about every bad joke in the book, I’ve been looking forward to watching him become that great seiyuu he wanted to be — and look, he’s playing the part of a near important main character.

A-Channel – 02

「雨の日はお風呂, As Rain Fell」 (Ame no Hi ha Ofuro)
“A Bath on a Rainy Day, As Rain Fell”

In terms of pure randomness, A-Channel manages to keep putting little twists on a normal everyday life. Sure forgetting to put on your sock could happen to just anyone, but how many girls forget to put on pantsu before leaving the house? Better yet, if given the opportunity, would you take a peek if someone said they weren’t wearing their pantsu?

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai II – 01

「一花繚乱」 (Ichi Hana Ryouran)
“Flower in Bloom”

After a season without Keima and Elsie to brighten up my week, I’m glad that this show still has all the things I love about it. Besides never taking itself too seriously, I’m glad that Keima seems to have reverted back to his otaku, 2d loving self. While I wouldn’t say it was a complete relapse, it felt nice to see him go crazy over his current predicament.

Hanasaku Iroha – 02

「復讐するは、まかないにあり」 (Fukushu Suru wa, Makanai ni Ari)
“Vengeance is a Staff Meal”

I never knew it was possible for a show to extract such a powerful emotional response from me in just the second episode. Somehow, someway, Ohana is turning into my favorite character, ever. I swear, it has to be that never give up attitude that keeps grabbing my attention.

A-Channel – 01

「好き, An April Day」 (Suki)
“Love, An April Day”

A-Channel isn’t your average, run of the mill slice of life. It’s more of your real life situation, feelings of doubt and rejection; totally serious yet totally not serious at the same time, slice of life. I know that you readers were comparing A-Channel to Nichijou a while back, and I’m glad to see that A-Channel feels completely different in nearly every aspect — something which makes me happy.
