Mayo Chiki! – 07

「駆け落ちしよう」 (Kakeochi Shiyou)
“Let’s Run Away!”

I’ve been thinking this entire time, “Would there be any way for Konoe to slip into girl form while still maintaining the façade of being a male?” And coincidentally, it seems like an answer has been dropped into the palm of my hands. I’m sure everyone here loves Konoe dressed up as Suzutsuki’s male butler, but I’d love to see more of this.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 06

「僕とのぞきと男の友情っ!」 (Boku to Nozoki to Otoko no Yuujou)
“Me, Peeping, and BROTHERHOOD”

I can’t recall the last time a show decided to break the fourth wall, but Baka Test’s narrator definitely sounded pretty pissed this week. All jokes aside, it’s beginning to feel a wee bit tedious with the collective brain power of our four three guys failing to discover their blackmailer.

Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi – 06

「すれ違いの(課外)授業」 (Surechigai no (Kagai) Jyugyou)
“(Extracurricular) Activities While Passing Each Other By”

Even with almost no references to anything in the past five episodes, I think that this has been the best episode thus far. I’m sure that my bias for slice-of-life elements and high school romcoms is butting its head in here, but I think this show flows a lot better when it’s not trying too hard to be serious.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni! – 05

「僕とのぞきと強化合宿っ!」 (Boku to Nozoki to Kyouka Gasshuku!)
“Me, Peeping, and Training Camp!”

I still can’t place my finger on what exactly was so good about this episode, but all the different points that I factor in while watching Baka Test was all there. Starting with some ridiculous problem that Akihisa and friends have to deal with, there apparently was a school festival between episode four and five. And during this festival, both Akihisa and Yuuji had to do things that they’d rather not remember and are getting blackmailed with it.

Hanasaku Iroha – 19

「どろどろオムライス」 (Dorodoro Omeraisu)
“Mushy Omelette Rice”

That’s what I’m talking about P.A. Works! I knew you had creative people working in the story department, and this is the type of hectic, crazy, multiple sided drama that I’ve been dying to see. You can say that I was extremely impressed with just how many different angles this Culture Festival is going to have.

Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi – 05

「そして天魔が、歌われる」 (Soshite Tenma Ga, Utawareru)
“And The Tenma is Sung”

Unlike the previous episodes where there was very little, if any plot-related material, this episode when coupled with the serious parts of last week’s make for the beginning of what sounds like a really interesting story. I’m not sure what it was about this week’s episode but I just didn’t want it to end!
